Symphony (Symphony Network) is a Cosmos SDK–based Layer 1 appchain positioned as a “stablecoin chain” and a platform for crypto-native real-world assets (RWAs). Its goal is to make stable-value assets and on-chain representations of off-chain exposure usable as core building blocks for DeFi.
Symphony combines three main directions under one umbrella:
-
Stablecoin and asset issuance layer: focuses on bringing multiple currency pegs and stable-value instruments on-chain, with protocol-level mechanisms aimed at maintaining stability and liquidity.
-
RWA-focused DeFi platform: designed to support tokenized RWA exposure (e.g., commodities or other asset-backed units) and the surrounding DeFi stack-trading, lending, and other financial primitives-built around these assets.
-
PoS network operations and governance: as a sovereign L1, Symphony is secured by validators and staking, with a native token used for fees, incentives, and on-chain governance.
Overall, Symphony positions itself as a purpose-built Cosmos chain where stablecoins and RWAs are the primary primitives, enabling a dedicated DeFi ecosystem optimized around stable value and real-world asset exposure.
